Forest Gully Farms - $325 a night

Forest Gully Farms is a magical spot within an hours drive from Nashville. A recreation of tiny homes like that in The Hobbit J.R.R Tolkien allows you to experience a touch of fantasy. Underground white cedar huts with round front doors welcome you to a simple living space complete with air conditioning and all the standard amenities for your comfort. The owners have created a sustainable farm where you can help collect eggs in the morning, harvest some veggies and explore the nearby river and waterfalls. They even have optional baking classes you can take during your visit.

TentRR on Whooping Crane Farm - $113 a night

Glamp right on the Cumberland River! This experience is found on a working farm and can accommodate up to eight guests and comes with heating in case of cold weather. There’s a fire pit and stunning views of the surrounding wildlife. Rent a kayak for $10 a day and explore the waterways. Only 20 minutes from Downtown Nashville.

Tims Ford State Park Cabins - $139 - $278 a night

Tims Ford State Park cabins sit in the shadows of the Cumberland Plateau on the shores of Tims Ford Lake in south-central Tennessee. Cabin guests will enjoy one of the most picturesque lakes in Tennessee, one that is also regarded as one of the top bass fishing and lakes. Park activities include hunting, boating, swimming, hiking, golfing, biking, fishing, and birding. The park has 20 two-bedroom, one-bath cabins situated on the wooded slopes of Tims Ford Lake. The cabins are equipped with an oven, stove, microwave, full-size refrigerator, cooking and serving utensils, coffee maker, toaster, and linens. Every cabin features a seasonal gas fireplace, outdoor balcony, a charcoal grill, and a TV.

The Harpeth Hotel

Just 20 minutes south of Nashville is everyone’s favorite town, Franklin. Recently added to the charming downtown area is the Harpeth Hotel, named after the river that flows through the town. This is a luxury stay that everyone will enjoy. The amenities offered at this hotel will blow you away. This is a Curio Collection by Hilton and no detail is left unattended. There is an independent spa in the building along with several wonderful dining options. You will be right downtown, free to wander the historic streets and glamorous shops of Franklin. Considering there are no other commercial hotels in Downtown, this definitely becomes a unique getaway.

Want to get a little further away from home? Head North to Kentucky, there's beautiful Bardstown for you bourbon lovers. To the East is Knoxville or Chattanooga two charming cities that are great to explore. To the South is Birmingham, Alabama. Lastly, to the West is Memphis, home of Elvis and several prominent historical Civil Rights sites.
